Just had to write a quick note on my new blog look...
First off, I made the whole thing (background included) with my digital scrapbooking software (yay) using a free kit by Miss Kim at: http://misskim.typepad.com/justmisskim/... the kit is called My Blue Period, and if you are up to date on your kids cartoons it's a reference to Lilo and Stitch.
Kat loves Lilo and Stitch (we've watched it about 5 times in the last week, she always laughs when he sings Elvis songs) AND when I was pregnant I watched it a few times and I love the quote: "You've created a monster!!! ...Eh, just a little one." Tim and I quoted that about a billion times in the weeks after Kat was born so there's a second tie in.
Also- when Tim and I first met, he gave me some beautiful star pictures, and our interest in stars and space junk has always been a bonding thing. (Mush factor 10 coming up, consider yourself warned) And- when we were doing the long distance thing, we'd sit on our respective porches outside talking on the phone to each other, and we always said we weren't THAT far apart, we were under the same stars.
Awwww.... so Kat is our little Shining Star.
Mushy mushy I know... but I loved making this layout. It's very bright, hope it's not giving anyone a headache! It worked for us.

It super cool and the fact that you have a reason behind it makes it super "mushy" special LOL I wish I was that handy with the computer....
It was a bit complicated, but I found a 'dummies' site that told me exactly how to change the code... :) So I'm not super computer genius or anything :)
